You Must Try Every Flavor

There’s One On Every Corner.

As you walk down the streets of Granada, no matter what time of day it is, there is always someone eating ice cream. Whether it’s from the infamous Los Italionos situated on Gran Vía de Colon or a random corner shop, you will not be disappointed.

There is every flavor imaginable, but my personal favorite by far is the “Tarta” from Los Italianos. It is basically a slice of ice cream cake stuck into a waffle cone and once you eat it, you will never think of ice cream the same.

While the Tarta is amazing, you simply can’t go wrong with the ice cream from the small corner stands. In addition to the amazing taste, the way the ice cream is presented makes it that much more intriguing; it creates a whole new meaning to culinary art. Each separate tub of ice cream is decorated and presented in a way that represents the flavor. Whether it’s including slices of the actual fruit or decorating it with the the original packaging of the candy, you won’t be disappointed.

Although it’s not ideal to eat ice cream every day, it’s hard to resist the temptation when there is a new stand every block. So when you’re walking through the streets of Granada and you’re craving something sweet, skip the pastry shops and cool yourself off with the delectable taste of ice cream atop of a waffle cone (or cup if that’s what you prefer).
