Life in Morocco is like a bowl of olives; you never know what you’re going to get. Especially when you don’t speak the language…
Sometimes, you just point to the rug you want.
Other times, you start serenading shopkeepers in hopes of getting a discount…
You even learn to speak monkey.
But when it comes to service learning at an orphanage, you have to find a way to communicate.
Body language and hand motions work.
Playing sports provides the opportunity to bond through physical activity.
But despite your efforts, things can get a little hectic.
Even though the amount of love is overwhelming.
Often, you just need to step back and take a deep breath.
You find that when teaching dance, words aren’t necessary.
And at the end of the day, actions speak louder than words.
