Jordan Taylor is a student at the University of New Haven and an ISA Photo Blogger. She is currently studying abroad with ISA in Gold Coast, Australia.
I’ve been to quite a few spots in Australia since my last blog post and I’ve been having a great time here. I’ve made tons of friends with whom I travel with doing the classic touristy things. My favorite place by far has been Byron Bay and I plan to visit one more time before the semester is over. I also loved Cairns, which I visited last weekend with my ISA group. My five day trip to Sydney was also memorable as I got to see the opera house and harbor bridge. Snorkeling the reef was amazing and something I will never forget.
But hands-down, my favorite thing about Australia is the wildlife. The animals here are awesome and make for great photos. I’ve gotten quite a lot of photos from the wildlife sanctuaries here, especially Currumbin. The kangaroos are great for taking selfies with. There’s also little water dragons that show up everywhere, one actually came at me and my friend the other day which was a little scary. Their necks stand all the way up when they’re threatened and they start walking in this weird way.
I’m dedicating this blog post to some of the animals I’ve photographed so far:
