Why Hindi: 5 Reasons to Study India’s National Language

  1. Based on population numbers that continue to grow, threatening to over take China by 2030 as the most populous country in world, unlocking the door of communication gives you access to a huge percentage of the world’s population.
  2. Hindi is interchangeable with Urdu, the national language of Pakistan. While the two languages differ substantially in their classical forms, today the only major difference between the two is their script. As such, learning Hindi means you can communicate with Urdu speakers as well.
  3. Both Hindi and Urdu are considered critical languages and many scholarships are offered to students planning to study either language. Additionally, the cost of living in India is very low in comparison to the U.S. and ISA’s program in India is among the most affordable.
  4. Descended from Sanskrit, the language of Hindu, Buddhist and Jain religious texts, Hindi has a deep and ancient literary tradition ranging from prose to poetry.
