In my short clip about studying abroad in Ireland, I show a variety of different views I have seen. I have discovered most of western Ireland and its natural beauty. I am studying on the west coast of Ireland at the University of Limerick. In my free time, I mostly enjoy traveling to other parts of Ireland. The first places I visited were the Cliffs of Moher, Burren Scenic Route, Poulnabrone Dolmen, Baby Cliffs of Ballyreen, and Lahinchhese. I visited these places all in one day.
I have joined a variety of clubs and societies while studying at UL. One in particular called Outdoor Pursuits Club allows me to attend weekend hikes on Sunday which has helped me to see some spectacular hidden gems. I have hiked in Killarney National Park to the top of Torc Mountain, Co. Killarney, I hiked in the Burren National Park up Mullaghmore, Co. Clare, and lastly I hiked the Galtees in Knocknagalty, Co. Limerick.
Outside of being in this club, ISA has organized events. One of my favorites so far was an overnight stay in Galway. We explored the street shops, listened to traditional Irish music, and received a guided tour all around the town learning about the history of Galway. I have also traveled to Dublin a variety of times. Some of my favorite places to visit in Dublin are the National Gallery of Ireland, the National Museum of Ireland – Archaeology, The Book of Kells and the Old Library Exhibition, and Trinity College Dublin. All these places have made me realize how many great things Ireland has to offer. I will hopefully be making my way to the North of Ireland soon and will be sharing this in my next video blog.
Thanks for reading and watching. Cheers Sierra!
