3 Things to Try in Prague

Benjamin Hudrlik is a student at University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and an ISA Featured Blogger. He studied abroad with ISA in Prague, Czech Republic.

  1. Czech Cuisine

You need to try Czech cuisine right away. The schnitzel was my personal favorite; I would eat chicken, pork, or even turkey schnitzel every chance I had. A great vegetarian option is fried cheese, which is amazing. Dumplings play a huge role in their cuisine and accompany every dish you have, especially the goulash which is very filling.

  1. Paddle Boating

Paddle boating on the rive next to Charles Bridge is a great way to spend a sunny afternoon. You can ride around with friends and soak up the rays while eating ice cream with great views of the beautiful city of Prague.

  1. Opera

Going to the opera can be a fun new experience while you’re abroad. They are usually performed in Italian but have subtitles in Czech and English to follow along to as well. Getting all dressed up and going to the opera can be new-found form of entertainment depending on if you enjoyed it or not and can maybe make you go to more when you return to the United States.

The world awaits…discover it.
