Spain is a beautiful country filled with so many cities begging to be explored. However, the city of Sevilla is a great city to study abroad in because you never run out of things to do, especially since its located only a short ride from numerous other scenic locations. These are my top picks for day trips from Sevilla that you can use public transportation to get to.

- Córdoba
Córdoba is a city in southern Spain that has a urban area declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Whether you want to spend the day exploring the old Jewish Quarter or marveling at the interior of La Mezquita, this small city has so much to see. Córdoba is a one hour and forty-five minute bus ride from Sevilla.

2. Gibraltar
Gibraltar is a British Territory located at the southernmost tip of Spain that is a two and a half hour bus ride away. Make sure to take a bus tour up the rock, as it is home to the only wild monkeys in all of Europe! The top of the rock also boasts unparalleled views of Morocco just across the way. Don’t forget to try some fish and chips before you leave!

3. Italica
Italica is an ancient Roman City established back in 206 BC. Only a fifteen minute bus ride outside the city, these ruins are a must see. The Amphitheater, Thermal Baths, and many more places are still intact. You can even step back in time by walking inside the pit of the Amphitheater!
The world awaits…discover it.
