On February 4, 2017 people from all around the world gathered together to protest president Donald Trump’s Muslim ban in London, England. It was truly amazing how individuals from all walks of life set aside their differences and were able to come together and protest about something that is not even occurring in their country.

The streets of London were flooded with people who were motivated and willing to create active change. It did not matter if you were Asian, Muslim, British, American, gay, straight, or transgender, everyone joined hands and formed a welcoming community. People marched to Downing street holding up signs and chanting their views into microphones all over the city.

The heartbeat of the community of peaceful protesters and speakers created a sound so illuminating that it lit up the entire city. Individuals from different organizations and social groups came out to support this cause and show love for all people in the world no matter their race or religious beliefs. People were chanting, doing spoken word and singing to vocalize their opinions on the issue.

The amount of enthusiasm and charisma the crowd carried throughout the march, made a gloomy day in London feel full of color and warmth.

People were not afraid to stand up for what they believe in and were accepting of other people’s views. This protest showed a perspective of love and support from people of different communities and brought out the fact that love overpowers hate.
