Best Views of Rome

When you want a break from the craziness of the city but still want to be able to admire its beauty, I suggest you go up. There are many ways to get an amazing view of Rome from above. But there are some ways that are better than others. I have found three places in Rome that allow you to see all of its beauty at one time.

1.     Gianicolo Hill

This one is the most well-known for a reason. The view of Rome from the top of the Gianicolo Hill is a beautiful one. You can see everything from this hill. If it’s your first time in Rome I suggest you do this first so you can get a better feel of the city and see how it is laid out. It’s even better if you bring a map with you so you can see where everything is.

2.     II Vittoriano

Second on the list is II Vittoriano. This monument is located in Piazza Venezia. Ancient Rome is directly behind this monument and the view you get of the Colosseum and Forum is incredible. You can catch a break from climbing stairs here too by only paying 8 euro to take an elevator to the top.

3.     Villa Borghese

I happened upon this view completely by accident and I am so glad that I did. Villa Borghese is a park near the Spanish Steps that offers another amazing view of Rome. This park is on the opposite side of Gianicolo so you’re able to get a totally different view.

The world awaits…discover it.
