After just two weeks of studying abroad in Granada, I have already learned so much about the culture and have fallen in love with the city. Every day as I explore the city my perspective of life and people changes in the most amazing ways. These are the top eleven amazing things that are bound to happen to you while studying abroad in Granada.
You will never get tired of exploring the gorgeous Albaicín neighborhood.
You will gain a new perspective to noticing artistic details.
You will be in constant awe of how there are palm trees thriving in 40 degree weather.
Animal lovers: Your heart will melt over all of the adorable cats and dogs you see walking around the city.
You will love how walkable the city is; you will definitely be wearing out your favorite sneakers.
You will meet so many amazing people who will become your best travel buddies abroad.
You will want to eat all of the fruit off of the colorful orange trees, even though some are NOT edible!
You will want to buy every object you walk by- if you don’t like shopping now, I guarantee you will in Granada.
The constant view of the breathtaking Sierra Nevada’s will keep your heart at peace.
You will want to try every food a restaurant has… all the walking you’ll do will make up for all the treats, right?!
You will fall in love- with the people, the places, the food, the culture, the language, the architecture, and the breathtaking views.
Since my time here studying abroad in the beautiful city of Granada, Spain, I have experienced each of these things and I am incredibly excited to continue this adventure. I highly recommend studying in this wonderful city if you want to share these experiences.
