Since my arrival to Australia, Vegemite has been a popular topic of discussion. What I’ve learned about Vegemite comes down to this, you either love it or you hate it. Everyone has their own way of eating this Australian spread. It really comes down to who you’d rather listen to.
Luckily, I’ve learned the main way people in Australia like to enjoy Vegemite, and it is quite the process.
- Get all your ingredients ready. Vegemite, bread, and butter.
- Toast your bread, but not too much.
- Most people prefer to butter their bread a lot while others say to butter it lightly so the butter won’t overpower the taste of the Vegemite. It all comes down to your preference.
- The majority of people have said to put a light spread of Vegemite to get a good mixture of both the butter and the spread, while others prefer a heavy amount.
- Enjoy!!!

Once you’ve finally tried Vegemite, see what side you’ll be on. Will you love it or will you hate it? One thing is for certain, if you enjoy salty foods you will definitely enjoy a good brekkie with Vegemite to help start up your day.
The world awaits…discover it.
For the lovers of Vegemite (or Marmite) now you can find in Brazil a very similar product under the name of Cenovit.
Cenovit is great not only with bread and butter but also in cooking recipes. Have you tried the Brownie recipe with Cenovit ? Super delicious.
In Brazil enjoy Cenovit.
