Webinar On Demand – Discover Cuba: ISA’s Academic Program in La Habana

Due to the success of ISA faculty led programs in Cuba over the past two years, along with the recent thaw in U.S. Cuban relations, ISA has decided to offer a 5-week summer academic program in partnership with the Universidad de las Artes in Havana. The Universidad de las Artes was originally created to instruct students about the arts, focusing on Music, Visual and Performing Arts. This institution has inspired many who have walked through its creative walls, and continues to offer its students an interesting perspective on Cuban history and culture. This program is designed for intermediate and advanced Spanish speakers who are looking for an academically challenging and exciting program in a unique location.

During this 20 minute presentation, Johanna Alvarado, ISA Senior Site Specialist, and Eric Mackintosh, Associate Director, Academic Resources and Cuba Resident Director, discuss our program in Cuba. Topics include a description of program academics and courses, visas and eligibility, the Universidad de las Artes and the city of Havana. The presentation will conclude with Eric’s observations regarding his experiences in Havana last summer, and there will be time for questions from the audience following the presentation.
