Leadership in Thessaloniki
Offered through Purdue University, this 3-week custom program took students to the city of Thessaloniki on the northern coast of Greece. This is the third time that Purdue has run a similar program with ISA, but first time in Thessaloniki. Previously the program had taken place in Valencia, Spain and will be taking place in Morocco in 2016.
During the program students developed their leadership skills while conducting service projects throughout the Greek city.
Why is this program unique?
The program is exclusively for first-generation college students from Purdue’s Horizons program.

Plus3 Coffee in Costa Rica
This brand new 2-week custom program through the University of Pittsburgh took students to beautiful Costa Rica to learn about the country’s coffee industry. Participants spent a majority of their time in the capital city of San José, but did travel to Monteverde and other locations near San José.
Why is this program unique?
The focus of this program was for students to explore globalization through the coffee industry in Costa Rica. Students got to see the whole process of the coffee industry, from the seed to exportation. In addition, they were able to compare from multinational companies to a cooperative model.

Social Media Across Cultures
Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism & Mass Communication program ran a 3-week multi-location custom program in the ISA sites of Milan, Berlin & London. During this program students experienced what it would be like to be a foreign correspondent by reporting and sharing stories from three of the major European media hubs.

Students visit global newsrooms, PR firms, and other media outlets while experiencing local coverage firsthand.

Business in Prague & Central Europe
St. Edward’s University covered a lot of ground during this 9-day program. This program took students to Prague, Southern Moravia and Vienna to understand the business culture within the region and get hands-on experience developing a business plan for a local company.
Why is this program unique?
Students took academic visits to local businesses and economic government bureaus which were complemented by cultural activities such as museum visits and theater performances.
