ISA Internships and Service-Learning Department Launches Brand New Website

With great excitement ISA announces the launch of the new ISA Internships & Service-Learning website.  This new website is a comprehensive resource for all internship and service-learning opportunities available abroad through ISA.

After months of collaboration and research, the new combined website was designed with students and academic advisors in mind – with a focus on helping visitors find the right program by either academic major or geographic location. New features of the site allow users to easily find the experiential program that best fits their specific goals. The site will also make it easier to identify opportunities for students to combine an ISA academic program with service-learning or an internship during an ISA intensive month, summer, or semester program.  Additionally, the redesigned site has been configured for mobile users, making it easier than ever to search and find the right program from multiple platforms.

New Programs

This website will also include details on two new experiential program locations: Internships in Salamanca, Spain and Service-Learning in Cape Town, South Africa.

Beginning in Spring 2016, ISA Internships will offer full-time internship opportunities in Salamanca with agribusinesses, consulting companies, the city’s office of tourism and more. ISA Service-Learning will offer Study + Service-Learning programs as well as full-time service-learning options in Cape Town with opportunities to serve in a school for learners with special education needs, a civil rights education and advocacy campaign, a youth community exchange center and more.

From community-based projects to real-world international internships, ISA Internships & Service-Learning works with each participant to identify opportunities that challenge participants to learn, grow and strengthen practical knowledge and skills. By combining these experiences in one digital place, students and advisors will discover the variety of available program options, be confident when choosing the right program, and engage and connect while abroad.

ISA Internships provides professional and personal development, focusing on high-quality, customized work experience designed to enhance each intern’s resume.

ISA Service-Learning takes participants beyond the classroom and provides opportunities to serve in local NGOs, schools and clinics while learning through reflection.
