Every evening my roommates and I always make sure to take a walk around Florence. It is this time of day that the city is still. Crowds of people have vanished, and mopeds and cars no longer race through the streets. This photograph was taken on the Ponte Santa Trinita bridge located directly beside the Ponte Vecchio.

During my time abroad, ISA has given us the opportunity to join the program on various excursions. One of the events I was fortunate to be able to attend was a hike to Piazzale Michelangelo. It is here where one can find the most incredible view of Florence.

Sienna, Italy is one of my favorite places I have had the chance to visit while studying abroad. This city is well known for its wonderful art, museums, cuisine, and of course the Palio which is a horse race that occurs twice a year. This photograph shows one of the many views that can be found throughout the Sienna.

A day trip to San Gimignano is another fabulous excursion ISA has to offer students. Since the small medieval town sits upon a hill, amazing views can be found from every direction. This image was taken at one of San Gimignano’s most popular lookouts, Rocca Castle.

Everyone travels to Pisa to visit the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa, but what I found to be the most beautiful about Pisa was the town itself. The Arno River runs in-between the town, large and small buildings of various colors line the street, and farmers markets selling the most delicious looking fruits and vegetables can be found on every corner. This particular photograph was taken on the Ponte di Mezzo bridge.
