The ISA Brussels Group has only been in town for two weeks but has found some mentionable places.
1. Cook and Book
Located conveniently off of the Metro Line 1, Cook and Book is unique way to get your dose of literature as well as a bite to eat. There are 9 different libraries ranging from the music library to the English books section.
2. The Atomium
The Atomium was built in 1958 for a piece in the World Fair of Brussels. It is a prime location for tourist photos as seen below. Today, you can access 6 of the balls to see different exhibitions.
3. Poechenellekelder
Poechenellekelder, or as we call it, the puppet bar! Poechenellekelder is known for a wide variety of beers as well as their unique decorations. You can find an array of vintage puppets throughout the bar. The theme is kind of creepy but its a great representation of a Belgium bar. Poechenellekelder is located directly across from the Mannekin Pis.
4. The Grand Place
Last but not least, The Grand Place. The ISA Brussels Fall 2014 group were lucky enough to witness the 2014 Brussels Flower Carpet. The Flower Carpet is held every two years in the Grand Place. Even though we were jet lagged it was a great site to see on our first day in Brussels.
