Driving to the airport in Panama City on my way back home, I looked out the window and saw a completely different scene than the one that had greeted me on my way into the country. After my time there I had become used to the abundant greenery and aggressive driving. The Spanish language was no longer completely overwhelming and I had some idea of where we were location-wise.
I went to Panama to practice Spanish and to try something new. I ended up falling in love with the country and people that I met there. In the time of four months I had a new family, new friends and a new home.
I had such a great time and there are so many things that I will miss from Panama. I will miss seeing the massive ships pass through the canal as I am riding down the road. I will miss seeing the train with its cargo from around the world on my way to school. I will miss the tropical fruits and Panamanian food. But most of all I will miss the people, their friendliness, animated personalities and welcoming attitude helps to make Panama the incredible place that it is.
I will truly miss Panama and will forever remember the incredible experiences that I had there.
