ISA is pleased to announce our spring 2013 Faculty Seminar, which will take place in the Rome and Brussels during the week of March 9th-16th, 2013.
This seminar was designed specifically for professors in the fields of: International Relations, International Studies, Global Affairs, Political Science, Social Science and Economics.
The seminar, titled “The Future of the European Union and Its Struggle to Stay United: Regional Economic and Political Integration,” will cover historical context through modern day challenges facing the EU. The seminar will feature discussions on the origins and functions of European unity; the political, fiscal and monetary differences of EU member countries; the causes of high unemployment and general communal unrest due to contentious policy fields; EU defense and security; trade policy and conflicting industry interests; and the EU’s global perception in relation to Africa, the United States and China.
