Hello all!
I am now just one week from getting on a plane and traveling into the future (well six hours anyway) and arriving in London, England. I have been preparing for this all summer and now that it is almost here, I can hardly hold myself to the ground! I am just bursting with pure exhilaration and anticipation. I still get asked if I am excited to leave for London, and I quickly correct them saying “No, I passed the excited stage about 4 weeks ago. I am now absolutely ecstatic!” Even that doesn’t seem to cover it though. I am just so ready to have the experience of a lifetime in one of the biggest cultural cities in the world. There are many things I am looking forward to, the biggest still being able to hearing British accents on a constant basis!
One of my main objectives of this trip is to try and see London through the eye of a native, not a visitor. My mind is open to any and all new things I will encounter and will try to soak in as much as I can in the short 3 months I am there. I have read countless blogs and very time I get excited as I read about the memories I will soon make and the scenes I will soon see! This semester will be nothing short of amazing and I don’t plan on letting one moment pass me by. Although it still feels unreal that in a week I will be outside the states for the first time in my life, I have surprised myself at how comfortable and at ease I feel about the whole thing. This was truly a right decision for me and I hope to share at least of a fraction of what I experience with you through future posts and pictures, so stay tuned!!
