Keeping Things Green

International Studies Abroad Green LogoHere at ISA we try to keep things green—and not just our logos. From maintaining a compost pile and planting our first raised bed garden at our Austin, Texas headquarters to offering carbon offset credits for students traveling abroad, our green thumbs stay busy all year long.

That’s why we are excited to sponsor the pilot episode of a new documentary airing on PBS that seeks to raise awareness of where our food comes from and the impact it has on our planet, our country, our bodies and our souls.

Food Forward, now airing in select markets around the U.S., follows visionaries and food rebels working to create viable alternatives to the pressing social and environmental impacts of our industrial food system. With episodes on everything from DIY dairy to school lunch reform, it covers the full spectrum of issues affecting the food we eat each day.

SF Weekly has called the show an “uplifting, inspirational work.”

We couldn’t agree more.
