ISA Launches New Program in Ireland and Northern Ireland

Color me green with envy!

Starting in Spring 2012 ISA will now offer students the option to study abroad at Queen’s University in Northern Ireland and the National University of Ireland in Galway,  two well-known univerisities in the United Kingdom.

Why Study Abroad In Northern Ireland?

Queen’s University is a member of the Russel Group and has been ranked as one of the top 20 universities in the UK and a top research university. The university was founded in 1845 by Queen Victoria. It has a state of the art library including rare collections and a Chronicles of Narnia room with originals of the works. The physical education center will be used as a 2012 Olympic training facility.

We hope to give students a unique opportunity to learn about an area that most of their peers will not visit. This is a chance to experience a different aspect of Irish culture and learn about a different side of the United Kingdom. Students will come away from this program with an excellent university listed on their resume as well as a new prospective on an often missed area of Europe.

Why Study Abroad in Ireland?

NUI Galway is recognized as one of the top 40 universities world wide. In addition, NUI Galway is a bi-lingual campus. Irish Gaelic speaking students may submit course work in either English or Irish and faculty and staff are required to speak both.

We hope ISA Galway students experience a truely Irish way of life. The fact that they will be directly enrolled with Irish students, participating in student activities and living with local students in apartment style dorms, should ensure this memorable experience.

Applications for either of the new Spring 2012 programs will be accepted until October 1,2011.
