My whole life I’ve dreamed of studying abroad after hearing stories of my parents who studied abroad when they were my age. After years of watching travel videos and dreaming about seeing the world, I am so grateful to have the opportunity to experience some of the countries I’ve only dreamed of visiting. I hope to make new friends, learn about the culture, strengthen my Spanish skills, and visit as many other countries as I can. I love capturing beauty and emotion through videography, and I am excited for the opportunity to create videos as an ISA Video Blogger!

John Villalta
University of California – Merced
Seoul, South Korea

I’m a third year at The University of California, Merced studying Computer Science and Engineering (they might as well leave it as CS). During my time abroad, I want to be able to develop myself professionally and personally. Working on my friend-making skills while exploring the large city is one of the things I am most set on. What makes me stand out most to other bloggers is that I have 5 years of content on my YouTube channel. I plan to utilize my film making skills to display my experiences and my host university to others.
